Stone (Weekly Unplugged Project)

There is a blog I’ve been visiting (Unplug Your Kids) that does weekly craft challenges. This week’s theme was stone. Since we just brought home a beautiful collection of rocks and shells from the Lake I thought it was a good time to join in.

We didn’t do anything fancy but enjoyed sorting and playing with the rocks. We also used the rocks to build castles in our playdough. And another fun thing… my mom just got the kids a rock tumbler this week. We will be starting that up this weekend when we go to her house for Sunday Dinner.

‘A’ wanted to take some photos of rocks himself.

I love all the things you’ve done with the rocks. They look beautiful in the bowl! I especially like how you made castles with them with your Play Dough! I’m sure they are going to be even more beautiful after they go through the rock tumbler!
