This year the kids decorated Eggs with Gammy and Othy and I don’t have any pictures… maybe Gammy does. I will have to ask. We did an easter egg hunt at church… unfortunately I forgot my camera and only have a couple poor quality cell phone images and then silly me I never got pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits. LOL… I really dropped the ball on this one. BUT I did get the basket photos!
Happy Thanksgiving!
The best way to prolong bed time… get out the sewing box. They have all taken to picking up their sewing projects just before bed time. So sweet… how can I say no.
Bug recently was heard to say, when trying to get me to do something that wasn’t something I was willing to do at that moment… "But mom you can blog about it." LOL! I guess he figured that would motivate me. Here is a photo he wanted me to take for the blog (and I’m supposed to load it on the lego site – well the one without him in it).
Have Fun Tonight!
Fairy celebrated her fifth birthday last week! She gots lots of sewing stuff, as requested and her grandparents indulged her in her request for a REAL pink camera. She had a party earlier in the week with a bunch of her friends and her only request for that was a pinata. Super fun!
Life is what happens between Blog posts!
We’ve had a lot going on, which means I have lots of photos for blog posts but no time to write them. It is the blissful busy of a new fall schedule and I’ve ended up with a few bigger projects on my plate recently… but I couldn’t not post about my Pixie’s girl Birthday!!!
I can’t believe that my BABY is three. She had a joyful, special day.
By request… she wanted… PINK, PRINCESS CUPCAKES with HEART SPRINKLES. (We ate some very crunchy cupcakes 😉 ).
She spun and spun until she fell over in her new party dress Gammy made for her. I couldn’t get one of her standing still.
Thank you to all the out of towners who sent such lovely gifts. She was thrilled with everything!
We went from swimming to stocking caps this week… crazy August!
You need to find a place to store your sword and cape when swinging.
Mermaids give the best pushes.
Math games are even more fun with gnome cards.
Fairy has finally gotten the hang of pumping and has spent hours on the swing this week.
We had to pull out coats and caps for our nature walk.
Finger painting is a great way to spend a cold, rainy afternoon.
This site is still in the works as I move my stuff over from Natures Way Learning. Pardon the dust and please let me know if you are having any issues.
I just down loaded all the photos from the last several days and am a bit over whelmed…
1: by trying to decide what to share.
2: by my sheer frustration of how many photos are far less than perfect (I’m still fighting with my fairly nice camera for decent low light shots… especially with speedy kiddos).
3: by the thought that another Christmas has gone from anticipation to memory. I just can’t believe how quickly that happens.
4: how blessed I feel for such a wonderful time we have had with family.
Rather than a full on montage of holiday photos I’m going to leave you with a little Rolly, Polly Homemade, Puppy Love! This little fellow (which some of you may remember) has already gotten lots of love.
The second leg of our recent trip was to the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. We joined my Dad and Susan in Smuggs… a place we have been going to since 85. This was my first year back with kids in tow and it was just as amazing being on the other side of it. The kids all loved day camp and Todd and I were able to get out and do some non-kid activities… like a round of golf and a geo-cashing hike.
Warning – this is going to be a photo heavy post.
Crossing a covered bridge on our walk to dinner.
The kids making the hike up the ski trail to our condo. By the end of the week Pixie refused to go anywhere not on shoulders or in a carrier (it has been at least 6mo since she would allow that)… lol.
Todd on our geo-cashing hike in the rain.
The kids playing in the creek that runs through the village.
Even on the days it was in the 60s, we could not keep the kids out of the pools and off the water slides. Frankly since the water was in the 80s… it was the warmest place to be… until you needed to get out and get to your towel. We had a few nice, warm, sunny days in there.
The kids loved camp… even the Pixie girl who went a couple days. Here are the older two heading to camp the first day and then in a silly parade.
Pixie got some individual time with us. Here she is playing golf with Daddy.
There was a new indoor Fun House that was great for the rainy evenings. Fairy got pretty good at the rock wall and Bug was big enough (sadly – there were tears – Fairy was not) to go on the super slide.
This is how everyone looked that final day after camp. All tuckered out.
